Testing

Ansel has so much fun with the kids on our street, Tali, Tina, and TJ. He wants to go out and play with them every day. They're all a lot older, but they love to play with him too, and often come to the door to ask "can Ansel come out to play?"

BunRun 2009

I am officially addicted to running in races. Not a bad thing to be addicted to I guess. Too bad it's already so freaking hot and humid outside. I did the BunRun last Sunday and had a great time. They started the race a little early and I wasn't prepared yet, but it all worked out. It was my first timed race, and I finished in 27 minutes 44 seconds. I'm going for under 27 minutes the next time.
The start of the race.
And the finish.
We took bread to feed the ducks in Town Lake (it's still Town Lake to me), but there were no ducks to be found. So we goofed off and fed the bread to the water instead.

Pecan Street Festival & super yummy hamburgers

It was a super busy day, and it started with stopping at Ryan's favorite tree at Zachary Scott Theater. The obligatory picture with a guitar. We got so lucky with a great parking spot.
Ah, hamburgers are love. Casino El Camino, you sure make a mean burger. The LA burger is our favorite, but if you're looking for a good burn, try the Amarillo.
My boys, aren't they cute!
And Ansel's new girlfriend. He loves Sandy.
I actually like this picture of me. I usually don't and prefer to behind the camera, not in front.

Chocolate, Baseball and Bowling

Oh the many loves of my little buddy. He helped me make chocolate balls of goodness the other day, and despite arming him with a fork, he got chocolate everywhere. I think it was on purpose though so he could eat some.
And he is quite the little t-ball player lately. He can wack the ball pretty good, watch out if you're anywhere close.
And we all know where he gets his love of bowling...I think he has like 4 or 5 different bowling sets. Maybe he will be our PBA star and buy Mommy & Daddy a beach house one day.

The Garden

Things are really growing and blooming in the garden, including our onions. They aren't supposed to bloom until the second season, but somehow the weather tricked them into blooming early.
This is Ryan's society garlic that is ready to bloom.
